Chap. 246.—An ACT to authorize and empower the board of supervisors of
Albemarle county to institute certain proceedings against persons within or
without this State for the recovery of any and all papers and records hereto-
fore removed from the clerk’s office of the circuit court of said county.

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
board of supervisors of Albemarle county be, and it is hereby, author-
ized and empowered to institute or cause to be instituted and prose-
cuted to final judgment in the name of the county, at the relation of
the clerk of the circuit court thereof, such suit or suits either at law
or in equity against such person or persons, within or without this
State as it shall deem necessary for the recovery of any and all papers
and records which have been heretofore removed from the clerk’s
office of the circuit court of said county.
