Chap. 93.—An ACT to make it a misdemeanor to operate fraudulently any coin-
box telephone; or to obtain fraudulently from any such coin-box telephone
the use or enjoyment of telephone or telegraph service; or to manufacture,
sell or give away, with intent to defraud or knowing the same is intended for
an unlawful use, any slug, device or substance whatsoever for the operation
of any coin-box telephone. [S B 196]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, as follows:
Section 1. Any person who shall operate, or cause to be operated,
or who shall attempt to operate, or attempt to cause to be operated
any coin-box telephone, designed only to receive lawful coin of the
United States of America in connection with the use or enjoyment of
telephone or telegraph service, by means of a slug or any false, counter-
feited, mutilated, sweated or foreign coin, or by any means, method,
trick, or device whatsoever not lawfully authorized by the owner,
lessee or licensee of coin-box telephone; or who shall obtain or receive
telephone or telegraph service from any coin-box telephone designed
only to receive lawful coin of the United States of America without
depositing in and surrendering to such coin-box telephone lawful coin
