1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
Code of Virginia be amended by adding thereto a new section numbered
section fifty-four hundred and nine-a, which new section shall read as
follows:
Section 5409-a. If the principal sum held by any fiduciary men-
tioned in section fifty-four hundred and eight does not exceed five
hundred dollars, such fiduciary shall exhibit such accounts before such
commissioner within six months after the expiration of one year from
the date of the order conferring his authority as provided in said sec-
tion, but thereafter such fiduciary shall only be required to exhibit such
accounts before such commissioner every three years, unless required
by such commissioner to exhibit the same, upon request of some person
who is interested, as creditor, legatee, distributee, surety of such fi-
duciary, or otherwise, or who appears as next friend of an infant so
interested. The provisions of this section shall apply to any case where

to five hundred dollars or less although it may have formerly exceeded
that amount. Any fiduciary exhibiting such accounts in accordance
with the provisions of this section shall be entitled to compensation for
his services.
