Chap. 51.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 22 of the Game, Inland Fish
and Dog Code of Virginia, relating to persons entitled to county and State
license. [S B 138]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That section
twenty-two of the Game, Inland Fish and Dog Code of Virginia, be
amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Section 22. Persons entitled to county and State license-—Any
person who has been a bona fide resident ot this State for a period of
six months next preceding date of application and who was born in
the United States or who has been naturalized, or who is a legal voter
of this State, or any unnaturalized person who owns real estate in this
State and who has actually resided in this State for a period of five
years or more next preceding date of application, or who is commis-
sioned or enlisted in the army, navy or marines of the United States,
while stationed or located in Virginia, shall be entitled to county or
State license; provided that this shall not be construed to apply to any
employee of the Federal government other than those regularly com-
missioned or enlisted in the military or naval service of the United
States.
