Chap. 354.—An ACT for the further relief of Robert Coleman. [H B 367]
Approved March 29, 1934
Whereas, by an Act of the General Assembly, entitled an act for
the relief of Robert Coleman, approved March twenty-third, nineteen
hundred and thirty-two, there was appropriated to the said Robert
Coleman the sum of one thousand dollars to compensate him in part
for injuries and damages sustained by him as the result of the col-
lision of his automobile with a steam road roller then being operated
by a servant and agent of the State Highway Commission, as fully set
forth in said act; and,
Whereas, it is now recognized that the said Robert Coleman is
entitled to further compensation for the injuries and damages so suffered
and sustained by him in view of the fact that he was thereby rendered
a cripple for life and entirely incapacitated from following any trade
or calling; now, therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That there
is hereby appropriated to the said Robert Coleman, out of any moneys
appropriated to the State Highway Commission for the construction
and maintenance of State highways an additional sum of five hundred
dollars in full payment and compensation for the injuries and damages
so suffered and sustained by him, which sum shall be paid to him by
the Treasurer upon the warrant of the Comptroller.
