Chap. 292.—An ACT to authorize the boards of supervisors of each county in
the State to invest the sinking funds of said county, and districts thereot, in
county and district obligations, upon certain conditions. . [S B 307]

I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That not-
withstanding the provisions of section twenty-one hundred and eighteen
of the Code of Virginia, the board of supervisors of each county in this
State is authorized and empowered to invest all or any part of the sink-
ing funds of the county, or any district thereof, in obligations of the
county, or any district thereof, issued by said county; provided said
obligations are supported by the sinking funds which have been provided
and maintained in accordance with all legal requirements, but no money
to the credit of said sinking fund shall be loaned out or deposited, or in-
vested by said board of supervisors unless said loan, deposit, or invest-
ment shall be first approved by the circuit court of said county, or the
judge thereof in vacation, and the form of security be examined and
approved by the Commonwealth’s attorney of said county, which ap-
proval shall be entered of record in the law order book of said court.
