Chap. 286.—An ACT for the relief of the city of Winchester. [S B 126]

Whereas, the city of Winchester paid the full salary of Honorable
Philip Williams, judge of the corporation court of said city, for ten
months of the year nineteen hundred and thirty-two, amounting to the
sum of six hundred and sixty-six dollars and sixty-seven cents, and
for the entire year nineteen hundred and thirty-three, amounting to the
sum of eight hundred dollars; and,
Whereas, one-half of both of said amounts was properly payable
by the State, but was not so paid for the reason that no appropriation
was made therefor; now, therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That there
be, and hereby is, appropriated out of any moneys in the State treas-
ury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of seven hundred and thirty-
three dollars and thirty-four cents to reimburse the city of Winchester
for one-half of the aforesaid amounts so paid by said city for the
salary of the judge of the corporation court thereof, the same to be
paid by the State Treasurer to the treasurer of the city of Winchester,
on the warrant of the Comptroller.
