Chap. 249.—An ACT to make it unlawful for any person, in the county of Halifax,
to knowingly or intentionally go, or allow his dogs to go, upon any other
person’s private gatne preserve, containing more than 5,000 acres, while hunt-
ing or chasing any fox or deer, without permission, and to prescribe penal-
ties for violations thereof. [S B 344]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That it shall
be unlawful for any person, in the county of Halifax, to knowingly or
intentionally go, or allow his dogs to go, upon any other person’s pri-
vate game preserve containing more than five thousand acres, while
hunting or chasing any fox or deer, without permission of the owner
or some other person having the legal right to grant such permission.
Any person who shall violate any provision of this act shall, upon
conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding twenty-five
dollars.
