waters in the counties of Scott and Russell, during certain times, and the
gigging for said fish in certain waters in Scott and Russell counties during the

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That it
shall be lawful for any person to shoot suckers, redhorse and carp in
the waters of the Holston river and its tributaries, and in the waters
of the Clinch river and its tributaries, in the county of Scott during the
months of August and September in any year, and to shoot said fish
with a rifle in the waters of Clinch river in the county of Russell and
the waters of Clinch river and its tributaries and the waters of Holston
river and its tributaries in the county of Scott during the month of
May, and to gig for the same in said rivers in said counties of Russell
and Scott. in the day time, or at night with lights, during the open
season as prescribed by law; anything in any other act, to the contrary
notwithstanding.
