Whereas, J. T. Pleasants suffered the loss of an arm without fault
of his own by reason of the activities of the prohibition agency of this
Commonwealth; and,
Whereas, the said J. T. Pleasants is largely incapacitated from earn-
ing a living and has suffered great agony and pain by reason of his mis-
fortune; now, therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
Comptroller be authorized and directed to issue a warrant from the
treasury payable to J. T. Pleasants, the sum of twenty-five hundred dol-
lars ($2,500.00) payable out of any moneys heretofore appropriated
for the enforcement of prohibition, which may remain unexpended at
the close of the biennium ending June thirtieth, nineteen hundred and
thirty-four.
