Chap. 212.-An ACT to validate the sale or lease by the county court, or court
of monthly session, of any county, prior to the year 1860, of any land or
building then owned by such county, where the consideration therefor was
fully paid and possession thereof has been continuously held by the purchaser
or those claiming through or under him. [fH B 326]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That all sales
ind/or leases made prior to the year eighteen hundred and sixty, by
he county court, or court of monthly session, of any county, of any
and or building then owned by such county and situated within the
imits of land previously acquired by such county as a site for its court
1ouse and other public buildings, where the consideration therefor has
been fully paid and the purchaser, or lessee as the case may be, and
those claiming through or under him, shall have held continuous pos-
session of said land or building from January first, eighteen hundred
and sixty, until January first, nineteen hundred and thirty-four, are
hereby validated and declared to be forever binding upon such county.
