ular attendance and of good standing, of the high schools of Virginia shall
be entitled to participate in the literary and athletic contests and events thereof. °

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That no bona
fide student of any high school of any county, city or town of Vir-
ginia, which student is of lawful school age (not more than twenty
years and six months of age at the beginning of the fall school term),
of regular attendance and in good standing, shall be denied the privi-
lege of participating in any literary or athletic contest or event of such
high school because of his or her age.
