heretofore amended, for the protection of foxes in Albemarle, Culpeper.
Grayson, Warren, Carroll and Rappahannock, Montgomery, Pulaski and

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That chapter
three hundred and seventeen of the Acts of nineteen hundred and
twenty-four, as heretofore amended, for the protection of foxes in
Albemarle, Culpeper, Grayson, Warren, Carroll and Rappahannock
counties, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to trap foxes in the
counties of Albemarle, Culpeper, Nelson, Warren and Rappahannock
Montgomery and Pulaski, except during the month of November ir
each year, and it shall be unlawful to shoot foxes in said counties at
any time, except in the protection of property.
Section 2. Those who trap foxes shall visit their traps once every
day and release any dog or dogs or other domestic animal or fowl that
may have been caught in said traps, and be liable for all damage done
by traps to dogs, domestic animals and fowl.
Section 3. Any person violating any provisions of this act shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction, fined not less
than ten nor more than fifty dollars for each offense.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its passage.
