Chap. 1.—An ACT making additional appropriation for legislating for the State
and to provide especially for the expenses of this extra session of the General
Assembly. [H. B. 3]
Became a law notwithstanding the objections of the Governor August 25, 1933
I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That there
is hereby appropriated out of any monies in the treasury not otherwise
appropriated, the sum of sixty thousand dollars, which, with the un-
expended portion of the legislative paragraph of the general appropria-
tion act, approved March eighteenth, nineteen hundred and thirty-two,
shall constitute a fund for the payment of the cost of legislating for
the State.
2. Out of this appropriation and fund shall be paid the salaries of
members, clerks, assistant clerks, officers, pages and employees; the
mileage of members, officers and employees, including the salaries and
mileage of members of legislative committees sitting during recess; the
incidental expenses of the General Assembly and such other amounts
as may be authorized by either house, not exceeding the sum of three
thousand dollars each for the Senate and House of Delegates, and to
pay any deficit in the contingent fund of the two houses, a sum sufficient.
3. The fund herein provided shall not be subject to any reductions.
4. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its passage.
