Chap. 84.—An ACT to authorize the sale and conveyance to Whiting Oil Com-
pany of a small parcel of land on State highway route 800, in Alleghany
county, Virginia, acquired for State highway purposes. , [H B 107]

1. .Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
State highway commissioner be, and he is hereby, authorized to sell to
the Whiting Oil Company, at a price of not less than five hundred dol-
lars ($500.00), a small parcel of land acquired from the Wm. McAllis-
ter estate, on project six hundred and seventy-a, route eight hundred,
in the State highway system, Alleghany county, Virginia, which is no
longer necessary for the uses of the State highway system, and upon
the payment of the purchase price by Whiting Oil Company, the State
highway commissioner is authorized and empowered in the name, and
on behalf, of the Commonwealth of Virginia, to convey to the said
Whiting Oil Company by deed of special warranty, that part of the
said parcel of land deemed by the State highway commissioner no
longer necessary for State highway purposes. The purchase price
shall be paid into the treasury to the credit of State highway construc-
tion funds, and disbursed as such funds are disbursed.
