Chap. 8.—An ACT authorizing the town of South Hill, Virginia to convey to
J. A. Holmes and Lewis Jones, certain portions of Virginia street, in said town.

Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
town of South Hill, in Mecklenburg county, Virginia, be, and it 1s
hereby, authorized and empowered (upon resolution passed by a ma-
jority of the town council of the town of South Hill, Virginia, in meet-
ing assembled) by its mayor and town clerk, to grant and convey, by
deed, to J. A. Holmes, that portion of Virginia street in said town,
which is now occupied by the southeast end of the brick warehouse
thereon, and being north of the present established boundary line of
Virginia street, as surveyed and straightened; and to further grant
and convey to Lewis Jones by deed, that portion of Virginia street on
the south side of Virginia street, where the south line thereof has been
re-surveyed and straightened. The mayor of said town shall cause the
town seal to be affixed to said deed, which shall be attested by the clerk
of said town. |
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its pas-
sage.
