Chap. 79.—An ACT authorizing and empowering the town council of the town of
Scottsville, in Albemarle county, Virginia, to sell certain real estate owned by
said town, and to convey title thereto to the purchaser, or purchasers.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
council of the town of Scottsville, in the county of Albemarle be, and
it is hereby, authorized and empowered to sell and convey, by proper
deed executed in the name and on behalf of said town by the mayor
and attested by the clerk of the council thereof, to such purchaser or
purchasers, and for such consideration as said council may determine,
a certain piece or parcel of land owned by said town and described as
follows:
Beginning at the northwest corner of said old dispensary building, at
the intersection of Main and Valley streets on the south side of Main
street thence along south margin of Main street, south eighty-four de-
grees, east forty-four and three-tenths (44 3/10) feet to the northwest
corner of the Masonic building ; thence, with line of same, south seven
(7) degrees east thirty-five and one-fourth (35%) feet to an angle in
wall; thence, following said wall, south four (4) degrees west thirty
four and three-fourths (3434) feet to a point in said wall; thence |
new line westward thirty (30) feet to an iron stake in east line o
Valley street; thence along east line of said Valley street, nortl
twenty-one (21) degrees, twenty-two (22) minutes west, eight (8) fee
to a stake; thence, leaving line of Valley street, north ten (10) de
grees, fifty-three (53) minutes west, sixty-two (62) feet to the poin
of beginning, at the northwest corner of said dispensary building, be
ing a part of lot number one hundred and thirty-two on the officia
plat of the town of Scottsville.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from it
passage.
