Chap. 270.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 640 of the Code of Virginia,
which was enacted into law by chapter 471 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of 1928, approved March 26, 1928, said chapter being an act revising, amend-
ing, consolidating and codifying the laws of Virginia relating to public schools,
the section amended being in relation to approval of loans from the literary
fund. : [H B 122]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
six hundred and forty of the Code of Virginia, which was enacted into
law by chapter four hundred and seventy-one of the Acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of nineteen hundred and twenty-eight, approved March
twenty-six, nineteen hundred and twenty-eight, be amended and re-
enacted so as to read as follows:
Section 640. The application for such loan and a copy of the
abstract of the title to the property on which the school building 1s to
be erected for which the loan is to be made, shall be submitted to the
attorney general for his approval and to the State board of education
for its approval prior to the making of such loan.
