on route 32 of the State highway system, the “Pembroke Pettit bridge.”

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
bridge across the Rivanna river, at Palmyra, on State highway route
thirty-two, United States route fifteen, known as the James Madison
highway, be, and the same is hereby named and designated as the
“Pembroke Pettit bridge,’ in appreciation of his long service to his
county, State and nation.
2. The State highway commission is hereby directed to carry out
this provision by suitable markers.
