Chap. 219.—An ACT to permit the board of visitors of the College of William
and Mary to dispose of certain parcels of land and improvements thereon in
the city of Williamsburg. [H B 260]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
board of visitors of the College of William and Mary be, and it is here-
by, authorized and empowered, with the approval of the governor, to
exchange, or sell, and convey the following property ; (a) certain lots
with improvements thereon in the city of Williamsburg in the block
bounded on the east by Boundary street, on the south by the Richmond
road, on the west by Cromwell (Harris) street, and on the north by
Prince George street, any parcel and/or all parcels of which the col-
lege is now possessed within said boundaries, and/or of which it may
become possessed, within said boundaries; (b) three lots with im-
provements thereon, belonging to the College of William and Mary,
and lying about one hundred yards west of Cromwell street, one lot
being on the north side of the Richmond road, and the other two on
the south side of Prince George street; (c) such portion of the land
owned by the College of William and Mary, and lying west of the
power plant and east of the houses owned by Doctor E. G. Swem, R. H.
Krebs, Doctor J. R. Geiger, and Mistress Eleanor Craighill, as in the
judgment of the board of visitors of the College of William and Mary
is not needed for college purposes, such being a part of the land con-
veyed to the said college by Kate Long and her husband, June thirtieth,
eighteen hundred and ninety-four. ,
