Chap. 204.—An ACT for the relief of W. B. Henson. [H B 346]

Whereas, on the seventeenth day of September, nineteen hundred
and thirty-one, an automobile owned by W. B. Henson was struck by a
truck owned and operated by the State highway department, in the
city of Lynchburg, while the said automobile was properly parked
on the street and without negligence on the part of the owner thereof ;
and
Whereas, as a result of being so struck the said automobile was
damaged to the extent of one hundred and thirty-eight dollars and
eight cents, this being the actual amount paid by W. B. Henson for
repairs on said automobile; and
Whereas, the said W. B. Henson has no means of obtaining pay-
ment for the damages so sustained by him except by enactment of
the general assembly of Virginia; now therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That there
be, and is hereby appropriated, the sum of one hundred and thirty-
eight dollars and eight cents out of the general funds of the State
highway department, to compensate the said W. B. Henson for the
damages so suffered, and that the comptroller be, and is hereby, di-
rected to issue his warrant in favor of the said W. B. Henson on the
treasurer of Virginia for the said sum of one hundred and thirty-eight
dollars and eight cents.
