Chap. 133.—An ACT to repeal an act entitled “an act to authorize the manufacture
of motor vehicle license plates, road signs and kindred articles for the use of
the State or to be sold, with prison labor at the penitentiary; to authorize the
purchase of the necessary equipment and materials and the employment of the
necessary foremen and all things necessary or incident to the manufacture of
said license plates, markers and kindred articles,” approved March 28, 1928,
and to authorize the board of directors of the State penitentiary to retain
possession and control of the equipment purchased under the provisions of this
act. [S B 183]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That an act
entitled “an act to authorize the manufacture of motor vehicle li-
cense plates, road signs and kindred articles for the use of the State _
or to be sold, with prison labor at the penitentiary; to authorize the
purchase of the necessary equipment and materials and the employ-
ment of the necessary foremen and all things necessary or incident
to the manufacture of said license plates, markers and kindred arti-
cles,” approved March twenty-eight, nineteen: hundred and twenty-
eight, be, and the same is hereby repealed.
2. All equipment purchased by the board of directors of the State
penitentiary for the manufacture of motor vehicle license plates, road
signs and other articles, under the provisions of the act hereby re-
_ pealed, shall remain in the possession of, and under the control of the
board of directors of the penitentiary, used by such board for the
manufacture of license plates, markers and other kindred articles un-
der the provisions of section two thousand seventy-three of the Code
of Virginia.
