1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
comptroller be, and he is hereby authorized, to issue his warrant on
the treasurer of Virginia in favor of Pennington Gap Bank, Incor-
porated, Pennington Gap, Virginia, in the sum of five hundred and
eighty-eight dollars and ten cents, the same being the amount of town
taxes on bank stock paid by such bank to the town of Pennington
Gap, Virginia, in and for the tax year nineteen hundred and twenty-
seven, which town taxes had been levied by such town prior to June
first, nineteen hundred and twenty-seven, but were not paid to such
town by such bank until December, nineteen hundred and twenty-
seven, such bank in the meantime, to-wit, on May twenty-eighth, nine-
teen hundred and twenty-seven, having paid into the State treasury the
full amount of the State taxes assessed against its shareholders for
that year, namely, a tax at the rate of one dollar and ten cents per one
hundred dollars of the taxable value of all of the shares of such bank.
