Chap. 368.—An ACT to provide for the protection of foxes in the county of
Clarke and to make any violation of this act a misdemeanor. [fH B 290]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it
shall be unlawful for any person to trap, shoot or poison any red
or gray fox in the county of Clarke, provided, however, that this act
shall not apply to any person who is the owner or tenant of any
land in said county and who shall trap, shoot or poison such foxes
on land owned or occupied by him as tenant, when such fox or foxes
are actually doing harm on the property of such owner or tenant.
2. Any person violating any provision of this act shall be deemed
cuilty of a misdemeanor.
3. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its pas-
sage.
