Chap. 324.—An ACT to amend section 8 of chapter 256 of the acts of the
general assembly of the session of 1928, approved March 19, 1928, entitled
an act to prescribe the form and require the use of a standard fire insurance
policy in the State of Virginia, so as to empower the State corporation com-
mission to grant certain exemptions. [H B 125]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
eight of chapter two hundred and fifty-six of the acts of the general
assembly of the session of nineteen hundred and twenty-eight, approved
March nineteenth, nineteen hundred and twenty-eight, entitled an act
to prescribe the form and require the use of a standard fire insurance
policy in the State of Virginia, be amended and re-enacted so as to
read as follows:
Section 8. This act shall not apply to mutual insurance com-
panies organized under the laws of this State conducting business only
in this State and exclusively upon the assessment plan; and the State
corporation commission is authorized to grant exemption from com-
pliance with the terms of this act to mutual insurance companies and
associations organized under the laws of this State, conducting busi-
ness only in this State, and issuing only policies providing for per-
petual insurance.
