1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That that
part of the State highway system of Virgiina now designated as high-
way ten, beginning at the city of Roanoke, and going eastward through
Bedford, Lynchburg, Appomattox, Farmville, Burkeville, Crewe, Black-
stone, Petersburg, Prince George Courthouse, Surry Courthouse, and
Smithfield, to its intersection with the road leading to Norfolk and
Newport News, at Benns Church, be, and is hereby designated, and
shall be hereafter known as the “Colonial Trail.”
