Chap. 68.—An ACT to ratify and confirm certain deeds and convevances here-
tofore made by the town of Strasburg through its mayor and councilmen
of certain portions of what is known in a plat of said town as the public
square at the intersection of Main and Holliday streets, and to divest
the town of Strasburg from all right, title and estate to the said four cor-
ners of said square, and to confirm the title to the portions of said square
so conveyed to the present owners thereof and to their heirs and assigns.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That those
four certain deeds made on behalf of the town of Strasburg, Vir-
ginia, by its mayor and councilmen, whereby the four corners of
what is known on a plat of said town as a public square at the
intersection of Main and Holliday streets, were conveyed to private
persons for private use, and which either by inheritance or by sun-
dry conveyances have been purchased and are claimed by the follow-
ing persons and corporations, namely: the northwest corner of said
square by the First National Bank of Strasburg, which was the
People’s National Bank of Strasburg; the northeast corner by Philip
Grove; the southeast corner by John E. Rogers; the southwest
corner by Annie Zea, Katie Zea and others; be, and the said deeds
are, hereby ratified and confirmed, and the title to the said four
corners of the said public square at the intersection of Main and
Holliday streets in the town of Strasburg is hereby vested in the
said First National Bank of Strasburg, Philip Grove, John E.
Rogers and Annie Zea, Katie Zea and others, respectively, in so
far as the said town of Strasburg may have right, title or estate
thereto, and all right, title and estate of the said town in and to the
said four corners of the said public square 1s hereby divested and
taken from the said town.
