State highway maintenance and construction fund, to enable the director of
motor vehicles to employ twenty additional inspectors to aid in the enforce-
ment of the laws relating to motor vehicles. [H B 237]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That there
be, and is hereby, appropriated to the division of motor vehicles, pay-
able out of the State highway maintenance and construction fund, the
sum of fifty thousand dollars annually in addition to the current appro-
priation for that division, or so much thereof as may be necessary to
enable the director of the said division, who is hereby authorized to
do so, to employ as many as twenty additional inspectors, to be used
for the better enforcement of the laws relating to motor vehicles, and
to pay their salaries and expenses out of the appropriation hereby
made ; provided, that no ane inspector so employed shall be paid more
than at the rate of twelve hundred dollars per annum for his salary.
