Chap. 373.—An ACT to provide a portrait of former Governor Andrew Jackson
Montague to be placed in the State library. [S B 136]

Whereas, the State possesses no portrait of former Governor
Andrew Jackson Montague and it is desired to keep the portrait of
former governors historically unbroken:
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the sum
of three hundred dollars ($300.00) be and the same is hereby appropri-
ated out of the general fund to the credit of the Commonwealth for
the purchase of a portrait of former Governor Andrew Jackson
Montague, to be placed in the State library, when said portrait is
delivered to and approved by the chairman of the State library board.
2. The sum hereby appropriated shall be paid by the State treas-
urer out of any funds in the State treasury, not otherwise appropriated,
on the warrant of the comptroller, issued on a voucher signed by the
chairman of the State library board.
