Chap. 348.—An ACT to authorize and empower the board of supervisors of
Fluvanna county to levy an additional capitation tax, which shall be applied
in aid of the public schools of the said county, or for such other county pur-
poses as the said board shall determine. [S B 378]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
board of supervisors of the county of Iluvanna be, and they are here-
by, authorized to levy, in accordance with the provisions of section one
hundred and seventy-three of the Constitution of Virginia, an addi-
tional capitation tax of not exceeding one dollar per annum on every
male and female resident of the said county not less than twenty-one
years of age, except those pensione by the State of Virginia for mili-
tary services, which shall be applied in aid of the public schools of
such county, or for such other county purposes as the said board shail
determine.
2. An emergency existing this act shall be in force from its passage.
