Chap. 342.—An ACT to validate the issuance of twenty-five thousand dollars of
bonds for the installation of a water supply system in the town of Stephens
City, Virginia. [S B 372]

Whereas, by an ordinance of the town council of Stephens City
duly adopted at a meeting held on the eighteenth day of November,
nineteen hundred and twenty-seven, a certified copy of which was pre-
sented to the circuit court of Frederick county, Virginia, requesting
the calling of a special election of the qualified voters of the said town
of Stephens City to determine whether or not the bonds of said town
in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars should be issued for the
purpose of constructing and installing a water supply system for said
town, and
Whereas, at said special election duly called and held on the first
day of February, nineteen hundred and twenty-eight, for the purpose
above mentioned a majority of the qualified voters of the said town
voting at said election voted in favor of said proposed bond issue, and
Whereas, it is desired that there shall be no doubt as to the validity
of said bond issue, now therefore:
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That all
proceedings heretofore taken by the council of the town of Stephens
City in calling the special election for the purpose above set forth and
the conduct of said election is hereby validated, approved, ratified and
confirmed, and such bonds, when, as and if issued in such denomina-
tions and with such rate of interest and dates of maturity as shall be
prescribed by the said council of the town of Stephens City, shall be
the valid and binding obligations of the said town of Stephens City.
