Chap. 327,—An ACT to authorize a school census in the city of Hopewell, Vir-
ginia, to be in lieu of the regular quinquennial census taken in said city in
1925. [S B 162]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the city
school board for the city of Hopewell, Virginia, is hereby authorized
to have taken, as soon as may be after the passage of this act, a census
of all persons between the ages of seven and twenty years, residing
within the city of Hopewell, Virginia. The said census shall be taken
in accordance with the provisions of sections six hundred and fifty-
three and six hundred and fifty-four of the Code of Virginia, and
acts amendatory thereof, and shall be in lieu of the regular quinquennial
census taken in said city in nineteen hundred and twenty-five, and shall
be for the purpose of equitable distribution of school funds.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its passage.
