1. Re it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That in the
county of Chesterfield it shall be unlawful for any person to hunt,
kill or capture wild turkeys, pheasants, or grouse, partridges (or quail),
hares (or rabbits), or squirrels between January thirty-first and
November fifteenth, or deer between December thirty-first and Novem-
ber fifteenth; provided, that residents may kill or have killed hares
(or rabbits) and squirrels on their land at any time; provided, further,
that each species of game legally taken may be possessed five days
after the close of the open season therefor.
