I. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
thirty-two hundred and nine of the Code of Virginia, as last amended
by chapter one hundred and forty-three of the acts of assembly of
nineteen hundred and twenty-four, page two hundred and fifty-seven,
be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Section 3209. Nonresidents to obtain fishing license.——It shall be
unlawful for any nonresident of this State, to angle with pole and line,
or cast or angle with rod and reel, for fish in any of the streams of this
State above where the tide ebbs and flows, except as hereinafter pro-
vided, without first procuring a license in the manner provided for
securing a nonresident hunting license, the fee for which license shall
be the same as a citizen of Virginia would be required to pay for a
license authorizing him to fish in a similar way, in the State of the
nonresident applying for such license; provided, however, that no such
fee shall be less than two dollars and fifty cents; and the commission
of game and inland fisheries shall furnish the clerks, authorized to
issue such fishing licenses, a schedule of the nonresident fishing license
fees in all the other States.
