Chap. 195.—An ACT to provide for the use of surplus funds remaining unex-
pended from the proceeds of district or county road bonds in Campbell
county heretofore or hereafter issued. {H B 328]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
whenever it shall appear to the board of supervisors of Campbell
county that from the proceeds of any county or district road bond
issue heretofore or hereafter made in such county and after the com-
pletion of the permanent improvement of the highways for which
such bonds were issued there remains in the treasury of such county
an unexpended balance of the principal of such funds not required
by law to be applied to other purposes, such board of supervisors
upon the recommendation of the other local road authorities in
interest, if any, of such county or district and by and with the
consent and approval of the circuit court of such county may apply
such surplus proceeds so remaining towards the permanent im-
provement of other public highways in such county or district, or
upon the streets of incorporated towns therein, respectively, as the
case may be; provided, that such surplus funds shall not be ex-
pended upon public highways not within the territorial limits of the
county or district, as the case may be, for which such bonds were
issued.
