Chap. 194.—An ACT to authorize the council of the town of Broadway, in
Rockingham county, to appropriate funds in aid of the erection of a school
building in said town by the county school board of said county. [H B 325]

Whereas the county school board of Rockingham county has
erected, at a cost exceeding twenty thousand dollars, a school
building located in the town of Broadway, which is in Plains mag-
isterial district in said county; and
Whereas it is the desire of the council of the town of Broadway
to contribute to the cost of the erection of said building; now, there-
fore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
council of the town of Broadway be, and it is hereby, authorized
and empowered to appropriate from the revenues of said town a
sum not exceeding two thousand dollars for the purpose of con-
tributing to the cost of construction of the school building erected
in the town of Broadway by the county school board of Rocking-
ham county, the same to be paid to the said school board for said
purpose.
