Chap. 193.—An ACT to protect red foxes in the county of Lee, and to prescribe
punishment for violation thereof. {H B 313]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it
shall be unlawful for any person to catch, capture, kill or in any
other manner come in possession of a red fox, or to in any way come
in possession of a red fox hide, in the county of Lee, for a period
of three years from the effective date of this act; provided, how-
ever, that any such fox found chasing or injuring any pigs, lambs,
or poultry may be chased, captured and killed at any time.
2. Any person violating any provision of this act shall be guilty
of a misdemeanor, the punishment for which shall be a fine not to
exceed twenty-five dollars for each offense.
