Chap. 59.—An ACT to validate, ratify, approve and confirm certain bonds
issued or to be issued by the town of Coeburn, Virginia, and an election
held in said town on the fifteenth day of September, 1925, authorizing the
issuing of said bonds providing funds for acquiring and improving a water
system for said town. . [H B 98]

Whereas, at an election held on the fifteenth day of September,
nineteen hundred and twenty-five, in the town of Coeburn, a municipal
corporation, in the county of Wise, State of Virginia, a majority of the
qualified voters of the said town voting on the question of issuing
bonds for the purpose of acquiring and emproving a water system for.
the said town, voted in favor of the same and authorized the issuance
of bonds of the said town to the amount of thirty thousand dollars
($30,000.00); therefore,

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
said election held in the said town of Coeburn on the fifteenth day of
September, nineteen hundred and twenty-five, be, and the same is
hereby, validated, ratified, approved and confirmed; notwithstanding
any defect or irregularity i in calling or holding of the said election, or
in the printing or form of the ballots used in said election, or t ordi-
nance of the said town providing for the issuance of said bon s, and
the holding of said election for the purpose aforesaid, under the pro-
visions of chapter four hundred and forty-seven of the acts of the
general assembly of Virginia, approved March twenty-fourth, nine-
teen hundred and twenty. And the said bonds of the said town issued
or to be issued dre hereby validated, ratified, approved and confirmed
and declared to be valid and binding obligations of the said town of
Coeburn.

2. An emergency exisiting in that the said town of Coeburn is in
urgent need of funds derived or to be derived from the sale of the said
bonds for the purpose of acquiring, improving and purifying a water
system for said town, this act shall be in force from its passage.
