Chap. 55.—An ACT to provide that whenever any new road 1s hereafter opened
and established in the county of Mecklenburg, and under existing law, the
expenses incident thereto would be a charge on the said county, the said
expenses shall be borne by the district in which the said road lies. [H B 91]

1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That when-
ever, under the provisions of chapter eighty-four of the Code of Vir-
ginia, any new road is hereafter opened and established in the county
of Mecklenburg and the compensation to the proprietors and tenants
and the costs incurred in opening the road would be a charge on the
said county under existing law, the said compensation and costs shall
be borne by the district of the said’county in which the said road lies.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its pas-
sage.
