Chap. 516.—An ACT to repeal section 987 of the Code of Virginia which requires
boards of education and eleemosynary institutions to report to the auditor.

Approved March 25, 1926.
Whereas, section four of an act approved February nineteenth,
nineteen hundred and eighteen, provides the departments, bureaus,
divisions, officers, boards, commissions, institutions or other agencies
or undertakings of the State, upon request, shall immediately furnish
to the governor, in such form as he may require, any information de-
sired by him in relation to their respective affairs or activities; and
Whereas, section nine hundred and eighty-seven of the Code of
Virginia requires the same State agencies to make similar detailed
report to the auditor of public accounts, thus making a duplication
of work; therefore, to effectuate simplification of governmental ad-
ministration,
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
nine hundred and eighty-seven of the Code of Virginia be, and the
same is hereby, repealed.
2. To promote simplification of governmental administration and
to avoid duplication of work, an emergency exists and this act shall be
in force from its. passage.
