Chap. 498.—An ACT to authorize the council of the city of Williamsburg to
donate and convey to the Association for the Preservation of Virginia Anti-
quities certain real estate in the city of Williamsburg. [H B 325]

Approved March 25, 1926.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
council of the city of Williamsburg be, and it is hereby, authorized and
empowered to donate and convey by proper deed to the association
for the preservation of Virginia antiquities the old jail and jail lot
located in the city of Williamsburg, Virginia, on the north side of
Nicholson street between the properties of Garrett and Armstead, on
condition that the said association preserve the jail building.
