Chap. 428.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of the county of
Buchanan to levy for local school purposes a district tax in addition to the
maximum now authorized by general law, on all property in the said county
subject to district taxation for school purposes. [H B 480]
Approved March 24, 1926.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
board of supervisors of the county of Buchanan shall, on motion of
the county school board of the said county of Buchanan, annually
levy in said county, in addition to the maximum levies for local school
purposes now authorized by general law, a tax of not exceeding fifty
cents on every one hundred dollars of the assessed value of all property
in said county subject to district taxation for school purposes.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its
passage.
