Chap. 424.—An ACT authorizing and empowering the town council of the town
of Front Royal, Warren county, Virginia, to grant and convey unto the
trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, of Front Royal, Virginia,
certain real estate. [fH B 322]

Whereas, the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, of Front Royal,
Warren county, Virginia, have donated and dedicated to the town of
Front Royal, Virginia, for street purposes, a certain strip or parcel of
land, situated on the west side of Royal avenue, in the said town, in
consideration of which the said town agreed to grant or convey unto
the trustees, of the said Methodist Episcopal Church, South, of Front
Royal, Virginia, certain other real estate, hereinafter described; now,
therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
town council of the town of Front Royal, Virginia, be, and it is hereby
authorized and empowered to grant or convey, with special warranty

of title unto the trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South,
of Front Royal, Virginia, the following described strip or parcel of
and:
Beginning at the corner of the ‘‘Allen property” on the north side
of Main street, said point being one hundred and sixty-eight and five-
tenths feet from the westerly lot line of the Methodist Episcopal
Church, thence with one line of said ‘‘Allen property” north five de-
grees, east seventy-six feet to a point, thence south four degrees east
sixty-nine feet to a point, thence with a curve whose radius is nine
feet, fourteen feet, to the beginning containing four hundred and
twenty square feet, more or less.
2. It being desired to make certain improvements at once, an
emergency is declared to exist, and this act shall be in force from its
passage.
