Chap. 398.—An ACT to require officers appointed by the attorney general to
engage in the enforcement of laws congerning intoxicating liquors to give
bond with condition for the faithful and lawful discharge of their duties.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That all
inspectors, deputies and other officers appointed by the attorney
general to engage in the enforcement of the laws concerning intoxicat-
ing liquors, shall, before entering upon or continuing in, their duties,
give bond, with surety, approved by the clerk of the circuit court of
the county or the corporation court of the city in which such inspector,
deputy or other officer resides, in the penalty of five hundred dollars,
and with condition for the faithful and lawful performance of their
duties. Such bonds shall be filed in the office of the attorney general.
