Approved March 24, 1926.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That on or
before July first, nineteen hundred and twenty-six, the department
of game and inland fisheries shall prepare budget estimates for the
period beginning July first, nineteen hundred and twenty-six and
ending February twenty-ninth, nineteen hundred and twenty-eight,
and submit the same to the governor for approval, or for revision and
approval. After such approval, or after such revision and approval,
the moneys available to the department of game and inland fisheries
for expenditure shall be expended only in the amounts and for the
purposes set out in such estimates. The governor may, however, on
application of the department, and by written order, transfer any of
such amounts, or any part thereof, from the purpose set out in such
estimates to some other purpose within the department deemed more
necessary in view of later developments.
