Chap. 335.—An ACT to permit the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and the
United Daughters of the Confederacy to place in one of the vacant niches in
the rotunda of the capitol, a suitable bust of Robert Edward Lee. [H B 239]
Approved March 24, 1926.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the permission of the Commonwealth is hereby given to the Sons
of Confederate Veterans, and the United Daughters of the Con-
federacy to place in one of the vacant niches in the rotunda of the
Capitol a suitable bust of Robert Edward Lee. The particular
niche in which such bust is to be placed, together with the character
and design of the bust shall be first submitted to and approved by
the art commission.
2. All costs and expenses incurred under the provisions of this
act shall be paid by the Sons of Confederate Veterans and the United
Daughters of the Confederacy.
