thereto a new section to be numbered 4822-a, in relation to search warrants.

1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That chap-
ter one hundred and ninety-one of the Code of Virginia, be amended
by the addition thereto of a new section to be numbered forty-eight
hundred and twenty-two-a, which new section shall read as follows:
Section 4822-a. Judges of courts of record which have jurisdic-
tion of criminal cases may issue search warrants.—Judges of courts
of record which have jurisdiction of the trial of criminal cases shall
have the same powers and authority as to the issuance of search war-
rants as are conferred upon justices of the peace.
