Chap. 298.—An ACT to make it unlawful to intentionally remove, deface, alter,
change, destroy or obliterate, or cause to be removed, defaced, altered,
changed, destroyed or obliterated, any identification mark on a radio set
or musical instrument, and to prescribe penalties. [S B 203]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That any
person, firm or corporation who intentionally removes, defaces, alters,
changes, destroys or obliterates in any manner or way, or who causes
to be removed, defaced, altered, changed, destroyed or obliterated
in any manner or way, any trademark, distinguishing or identification
number, serial number, or mark on or from any radio set or musical
instrument, for the purpose of secreting its identification shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall
be subject to a fine of not exceeding two hundred dollars, or be
punished by confinement in jail for any term not exceeding six months,
or both, in the discretion of the court or jury trying the case.
