Chap. 28.—An ACT to authorize the county school board of Bath county to bor-
row money, not in excess of $45,000.00, and to issue its bonds therefor, for the
purpose of purchasing land, and constructing and equipping a high school
building to be located near Hot Springs, Virginta, for the joint use and
benefit of the Warm Springs school district number one, and Cedar Creek
school district number two, of the said county, and to require the board of
supervisors tc levy a tax to pay the interest thereon and to create a sinking
fund to redeem the principal thereof at maturity. {[H B 8]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
county school board of Bath county is hereby authorized to borrow a
sum not exceeding forty-five thousand dollars, and to issue its bonds
therefor, the said bonds to be issued in such denominations and _.to be
payable at such time or times not exceeding twenty years from the
date thereof as the said board may provide; they shall bear interest
at not exceeding six per centum per annum, and shall not be sold for
less than par.
The’ bonds issued by said county school board in pursuance of thi:
act shall be signed by the chairman and countersigned by the clerk
thereof. They shall be a lien of all the public school property in the
Warm Springs school district, number one, and Cedar Creek school dis:
trict, number two, and the proceeds shall be used for the purpose o!
yurchasing the necessary land and constructing and equipping a high
cchool building to be located near Hot Springs, Virginia, for the use
und benefit of Warm Springs school district, number one, and Cedar
Creek school district, number two, of the said county.
After the issuance of the bonds provided for in this act the board of
supervisors of Bath county shall annually levy in Warm Springs school
district, number one, and Cedar Creek school district, number two,
in said county, a tax on all the property subject to local school taxa-
tion in said school districts, sufficient to pay the interest on, and to
create a sinking fund to redeem the principal of, said bonds at ma-
turity.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its pas-
sage.
