Chap. 236.—An ACT to appropriate $7,672.06 to the War Memorial Commission
to enable the commission to discharge various obligations incurred under the
provisions of an act approved March 20, 1924, creating and prescribing the
powers and duties of the War Memorial Commission. [S B 333]

Approved March 23, 1926.

1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That there
be, and is hereby, appropriated, to the War Memorial commission
created by an act approved March twentieth, nineteen hundred and
twenty-four, the sum of seven thousand six hundred and seventy-two
dollars and six cents to enable the commission to discharge the follow-
ing obligations incurred under the provisions of the act aforesaid,
to-wit:

Wright and Cret, architects, five thousand dollars...... $5,000.00

Berthold Nebel, sculptor, seven hundred and fifty dollars. 750.00

Southside Granite Company, excavation, one thousand
four hundred and ninety-eight dollars...................! 1,498.00

Wise Granite and Construction Company, platform and
foundation, two hundred and twenty-one dollars and hifty-

2. The sums hereby appropriated shall be paid by the State
treasurer out of any funds in the State treasury not otherwise appro-
priated on warrants of the auditor of public accounts issued on vouch-
ers signed by the chairman of the War Memorial commission, counter-
signed by its secretary.

3. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its
passage.
